Rebecca Fox, LISW

Rebecca is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with two decades of experience in the

mental health field. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her master’s degree in

social work from the University of Northern Iowa. She has experience working in community

mental health and most recently in a medical clinic setting.

Drawing from a client-centered, strengths-based approach, Rebecca creates a supportive and

empowering environment for each individual she works with. She is trained in several evidence-

based treatment modalities, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and

Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment

Therapy).

Rebecca specializes in working with adults navigating a wide range of challenges, including life

stressors, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, health concerns, and major life transitions. Her

approach is rooted in meeting clients where they are and building a therapeutic relationship

grounded in trust, respect, and compassion. Rebecca is skilled in active listening and creating a

space where clients feel heard and supported without judgment. She also enjoys teaching

practical coping strategies that clients can use in their daily lives to manage stress, improve

sleep, and enhance overall well-being.

Outside of her work at Healing Rock, Rebecca enjoys spending time outdoors, attending

concerts, cooking, reading, and exploring new places through travel. She also loves animals

and spending time with her two cats.
